Successful defending of PhD!

One of the graduate students defended his thesis.

We are pleased to hear that Dr. Giga defended his thesis. As trained as a medical doctor for critical care medicine, he has been working for the pathophysiology underlying sepsis. After enrolled in the graduate course in Hiroshima University, he joined our lab to address a role of neuroinflammation in the mouse model of sepsis. A publication on a role of microglia in sepsis in SHOCK (2020) allowed him to defend his PhD thesis.
